Now two years into its fourth generation, the Equinox continues to evolve with updates under the hood and new available amenities. For 2027, the front-wheel drive version gets a powertrain upgrade, as Chevy pairs the turbocharged 1.5-liter engine with the 8-speed automatic transmission (previously reserved for the available all-wheel drive system), in place of the FWD’s former continuously variable transmission. The Equinox’s optional packages also receive notable changes. The Convenience Package II for the LT gains Evotex leatherette upholstery, while the Safety and Technology Package (available on every trim) adds a rear camera washer. As for style, Autumn Harvest Metallic replaces Cacti Green in the exterior color palettes of the LT and ACTIV.
