There are numerous icons in the automotive industry, but only one model can stake claim to being the oldest, and that’s the Chevrolet Suburban. This legendary utility vehicle has been around for more than nine decades – yes, 90-plus years – earning it the distinction of being the longest-running nameplate in the biz (although its original name was the Suburban Carryall). As the king of the full-sized SUV segment, it’s one of only two models that can be ordered with a front-row bench seat to accommodate nine occupants (the other is the Chevrolet Tahoe LS). It’s definitely the go-to vehicle when you’re seeking the power and space to carry everyone and everything.

Chevrolet has made a few upgrades for model year 2026, including a key card entry system on all trims while the LT and above also get a cabin camera. The array of optional bundles has been reconfigured to allow more customization. Buyers can still select from three powertrains: two strong V8s and a Duramax Turbo Diesel. The ’26 Suburban boasts a best-in-class standard 17.7-inch infotainment touchscreen and an available best-in-class 15-inch head-up display, plus class-best interior cargo volume of up to 144.5 cubic feet (41.5 cubic feet at full occupancy).
